(Freepik pic) PETALING JAYA: A 25-year-old woman in Batu Pahat, Johor, has been remanded for a day for allegedly aborting her foetus and burying it in a garden behind her house. Her boyfriend, 27, was remanded for four days, Berita Harian reported. The remand order for the pair was issued by the Batu Pahat magistrates’ court to assist in investigations for preventing a child’s birth and concealing evidence of an offence. The suspect was reportedly discharged from hospital yesterday after receiving treatment for back pain believed to be linked to her alleged abortion of the 17-week-old foetus. The woman told the doctor treating her about what had happened, and the hospital subsequently contacted the police.
