The ministry’s enforcement director-general, Azman Adam, said the raid by the Putrajaya branch’s enforcement division was conducted after receiving a complaint from the owner of one of the trademarks used. “The building was storing various health screening products suspected to be counterfeit and believed to be intended for distribution and sale to consumers,” Bernama reported him as saying today. The items seized included various models of automatic blood pressure monitors, nebulisers, digital thermometers, digital scales, pulse oximeters and blood glucose meters. He said a woman who claimed to be the manager of the premises was also detained to assist in the investigation.
