Saripuddin Kasim, a former executive chairman of the now-dissolved Malaysian Aviation Commission, was appointed as MRT Corp chairman on Nov 19, 2025. KUALA LUMPUR: Saripuddin Kasim has stepped down as chairman of Malaysia Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp), effective March 1, to pursue other interests. In a statement today, MRT Corp expressed its gratitude to Saripuddin for his leadership and guidance during his tenure as chairman and wished him “the very best in his future endeavours”. Saripuddin, a former executive chairman of the now-dissolved Malaysian Aviation Commission, was appointed as MRT Corp chairman on Nov 19, 2025. He has served as director-general of the legal affairs division in the Prime Minister’s Office and secretary-general of the transport; domestic trade and consumer affairs; human resources; and federal territories ministries.
