(Bernama pic) PETALING JAYA: Penang police have confirmed that there was no foul play involved in the death of a 52-year-old woman found with a stab wound to her chest at her home in Butterworth. Penang police chief Azizee Ismail said the investigatiion found that no criminal elements were involved and the case has been classified as sudden death, Harian Metro reported. He said the woman died from a stab wound caused by a sharp object, and her body was claimed by her husband yesterday. The woman, identified as Koay Feu Chuen, was found lying in a pool of blood in a bedroom of her two-storey terrace house at about 9.30am on Friday. Her husband checked the bedroom after she did not come downstairs as usual to prepare breakfast. He found the door locked from the inside but managed to enter and discovered her covered in blood. Police, who seized a knife, said it is understood the victim had been undergoing psychiatric treatment. Those struggling with problems can seek help from trained volunteers at Befrienders.
