An X user uploaded CCTV footage showing the man beating the kitten with what appears to be a metal object until it lay motionless on the floor in front of a flat. “One foot in the grave, yet still behaving like a menace. Even if you dislike cats, that’s no excuse to kill them. “The kittens were just playing – three of them – right in front of my house, not even stepping onto his property,” the netizen said in the X post. The nearly three-minute video, which attracted more than 150,000 views, showed the man backing away after seeing the limp kitten. He then returned to prod the animal with a metal hanger. The kitten later regained consciousness, but the person who posted the video claimed it had died, sharing a photo of the animal lying in a dustpan. Other netizens responded by slamming the man in the video and urging the X user to file a police report over the incident. “Just file a report. Malaysia has laws to deal with such animal abusers,” commented one netizen. Another urged the person who posted the CCTV footage to file a report and share the video with the residents’ group. “Let everyone see what kind of person he is.”
