Wanita Bersatu chief Mas Ermieyati Samsudin had previously resigned as Masjid Tanah Bersatu chief. PETALING JAYA: Mas Ermieyati Samsudin has announced her resignation as Melaka Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman. The Masjid Tanah MP said this would allow the new PN leadership, led by chairman Ahmad Samsuri Mokthar, to restructure the state chapter in preparation for the upcoming state election “I am ready to cooperate with Melaka PN to jointly offer the best for the state,” she said in a social media posting just after midnight today. Last month, Mas Ermieyati resigned as Masjid Tanah Bersatu chief. She remains Wanita Bersatu chief. She was among the Bersatu MPs who attended a solidarity rally held by former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin in Kuala Lumpur on Feb 14. Hamzah was sacked from the party on Feb 13. She joined several other Bersatu division leaders who resigned from their posts in recent days to protest Hamzah’s sacking and express dissatisfaction with Muhyiddin Yassin’s leadership.
