Man dies in Kota Damansara house fire

(JBPM pic) PETALING JAYA: A 54-year-old man died in a fire which broke out at a two-storey semi-detached house in Kota Damansara, Selangor, this morning. Selangor fire and rescue department assistant director of operations Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said they were notified about the blaze at the house on Jalan Kenyalang at 9.09am. Firemen arrived at the scene 11 minutes later, where the victim was found unconscious on the veranda of the top floor. They retrieved the victim at 9.30am and the fire was brought under control at around 9.45am. Medical officers later confirmed that the victim had died at the scene. The deceased was identified as Nik Muzaidi Nik Abdullah.
