A marketing manager, 49, and her 66-year-old boyfriend had placed the numbers 6777 and 5085 as a standard RM2 bet. The woman said that she usually buys the tickets, while her boyfriend selects and records the numbers. She typically spends RM200 to RM300 each time she visits a Toto outlet. “We have been playing these numbers for many years and never imagined they would one day bring us such a life-changing win,” she said. Describing the win as a timely “big ang pow” ahead of Chinese New Year, the couple said they plan to expand their business, buy a house and set aside savings for the future.
