If convicted, Wong Cheng Fei and Foong Ka King each face between two and 20 years’ imprisonment and a fine. SHAH ALAM: Two former senior executives of a game development company claimed trial at the sessions court here today to misappropriating more than RM3.26 million in company funds. Ex-CEO Wong Cheng Fei and ex-COO Foong Ka King were charged with three counts each of criminal breach of trust under Section 409 of the Penal Code. They are accused of dishonestly misappropriating RM3.26 million belonging to their former company Lemon Sky Animation Sdn Bhd by transferring the funds to two other companies: Significant Acres Sdn Bhd (RM1.8 million) and Momodica Sdn Bhd (RM1.46 million). Prosecutors allege that the transfer to Significant Acres breached a contract with iCandy Interactive Ltd, while the RM1.46 million transfer to Momodica was made without board approval. The offences were said to have taken place between Dec 17, 2021, and May 13, 2024, at Lemon Sky’s office in Seksyen U1. If convicted, Wong and Foong each face between two and 20 years’ imprisonment and a fine. Judge Nor Hasniah Ab Razak granted the duo bail of RM60,000 with one surety each. She also ordered them to surrender their passports pending disposal of the case and to report to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission’s office in Kuala Lumpur once a month. The court set April 20 for case management. Lawyer Chew Jee San represented Wong and Foong while prosecuting officer Arif Asyraf Khairi appeared for the prosecution.
