(Pexels pic) PETALING JAYA: A 22-year-old man accused of beating his pregnant wife on Sunday has been remanded for four days by the Ayer Keroh magistrates’ court. Magistrate Uthman Abd Ghani ordered the food despatch rider to be remanded until Monday, Bernama reported. The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which provides for a maximum imprisonment of one year or a fine of up to RM2,000 or both, and Section 18(A) of the Domestic Violence Act 1994. Melaka Tengah police chief Christopher Patit said the man was arrested yesterday at about 11am for allegedly beating his pregnant wife at a house in Taman Seri Kemendor, Jasin.
