PETALING JAYA: A case of cable theft caused a major disruption to train services on the Putrajaya MRT line this morning, disrupting the power supply between the Sungai Buloh and Damansara Damai stations. Its operator, Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd, said checks found that power cables were cut and stolen near the Damansara Damai station, causing “serious” disruptions to its services. “Large-scale repair works are required, and this is expected to continue throughout the day,” it said in a statement.
