Bursa opens slightly lower on selective blue-chip buying

KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia opened lower on Friday, weighed down by Wall Street declines and rising oil amid Middle East unrest. At 9.10 am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) eased 2.55 points, or 0.14 per cent, to 1,710.65, after opening 0.6 of-a-point lower at 1,712.60. Market breadth was negative, with losers outpacing gainers 236 to 102, while 252 counters were unchanged, 2,032 untraded and 22 suspended. MORE TO COME
