(Facebook pic) PETALING JAYA: Former Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin claims a faction in the party is seeking to forge closer ties with Pakatan Harapan (PH). Hamzah said this faction comprises those who were previously with PKR, according to Berita Harian. Hamzah Zainudin. However, Hamzah did not single out anyone in particular. He then questioned whether disciplinary action would be taken against those trying to establish ties with PH. “If I was sacked for meeting Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, what about those who have openly expressed their desire to align with Anwar Ibrahim?” he was quoted as saying, referring to the PKR president. Hamzah was sacked from Bersatu last month amid a leadership tussle between him and party president Muhyiddin Yassin. According to the party’s disciplinary board, Hamzah was given the boot for violating a clause in the party’s rules that requires members to comply with the constitution, code of ethics and code of conduct.
