(Anwar Ibrahim Facebook pic) PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has paid tribute to the sacrifice, perseverance and wisdom of women as the heart of the family, the pillar of society and an important driver of the nation’s progress. In a message to mark international women’s day, he said women “never tire of pouring out their love for a better future”. He also highlighted the sacrifices of women in his family, especially his wife Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and their five children as a constant source of strength, patience and support throughout his political struggle. “The same strength also emanates from millions of women – mothers, wives, children, educators, caregivers and community leaders – who struggle silently every day for their families and the country,” he said.
