(Bernama pic) IPOH: Two palm oil harvesters have been remanded for seven days to assist in the investigation into the death of a vocational college student in Teluk Intan yesterday. The 18-year-old victim, Adham Faisal, died after sustaining severe injuries believed to be caused by a sickle blade on the neck. Hilir Perak police chief Bakri Zainal Abidin said the remand order would allow investigations to continue under Section 304(a) of the Penal Code for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Magistrate Naidatul Athirah Azman issued the remand order at the Teluk Intan magistrates’ court, effective from today until Monday. Bakri said that the two suspects, aged 39 and 52, arrived at the court at 9am under police escort. Adham, a Teluk Intan agricultural vocational college student, was killed after being slashed by a sickle following an accident involving two motorcycles at Batu 4, Kampung Selabak, Teluk Intan. His 17-year-old college mate suffered hand injuries during the incident. The two students were on their way to college for practical training.
