2 dead, 1 injured after falling from skylift at Subang Jaya apartment

Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the bodies of the deceased have been sent to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital’s forensic department for a post-mortem. PETALING JAYA: Two men died and another was injured after falling from a skylift while carrying out maintenance work at an apartment building in Subang Jaya. Subang Jaya police chief Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said police received an emergency call from a member of the public at about 3.50pm yesterday, and immediately dispatched officers to the location. “Initial checks found three men lying at the entrance of the apartment. “Two of them were confirmed dead at the scene, and the other was taken by ambulance to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital, having suffered injuries to the head and chest,” he said in a statement today. Wan Azlan said the three victims were using a skylift to carry out maintenance work outside the fifth floor of the building during heavy rain. “The victims were aged between 38 and 46. So far, inspection of the location has found no criminal elements. The case has been classified as sudden death,” he said. The bodies of the deceased workers have been sent to Sultan Idris Shah Hospital’s forensic department for a post-mortem.
